Since Covid-19, all public places have been forced to close, including museums.
But links with the public are not cut because many museums have set up virtual tours by presenting part of their collections on the internet. During this period of lockdown, it is therefore quite possible to discover the masterpieces of museums around the world, without leaving home. It is also a cheap way to learn since all the sites have free access. This is the case of the Louvre.

It's that simple ; on the official Louvre website, a tab is completely dedicated to virtual tours. It is possible to visit Egyptian antiquities, the gallery of Apollo located in the small gallery, or even the gallery of Apollo.
The museum shares part of its history with a web series produced in partnership with the INA. On March 29, the Louvre Pyramid celebrated its 31st anniversary. For this occasion, we can discover the history of this monument without which we could not imagine the Louvre. The museum is also rich in its history: it is summarized in video.

The commented images highlight a few masterpieces and bear witness to the history and incredible know-how of artists of all times.

A world famous painting, a true superstar of the museum, La Joconde, by Leonardo de Vinci, is entitled to special treatment. A focus on the work makes it possible to understand its history and its specificities.
Those who have a virtual reality headset can enjoy a face-to-face with the painting, to admire all its details. For the others, a mobile application is available "Head to head with the Mona Lisa". To find out more about the creator, a five-episode podcast tells us all about Leonardo de Vinci's secrets.

And don't worry! For children, one-minute episodes, in the form of cartoons, present incredible works in a fun way on the YouTube channel One Minute at the Official Museum.

Therefore, the louvre understood how to keep its visitors with this fun and futuristic system.
