The UMA (Universal Museum of Art) project has taken up the challenge of creating a universal and entirely digital museum. Accessible to everyone, everywhere, this museum aims to bring together the greatest works in one virtual place.

Available from December 5, 2017, this device offers a unique, thematic, immersive and virtual museum experience, in the form of unprecedented digital expositions.

The company UMA brings together varied and complementary profiles. It associates its designer, Jean Vergès and 3 of its co-founders, Benjamin Hélion, Benjamin Lanot and Damien Jacq.

"Become the largest museum in the world in less than 2 years", dream of the director of this project.

UMA is free, for everyone, everywhere, all the time. With a computer, tablet, smartphone, or VR headset, visiting the museum has never been easier.

The UMA site offers virtual expositions, presenting works from the largest collections in the world.

The ideal of UMA is the digital democratization of culture: facilitating access to art, familiarizing the public with museums, promoting collections, and participating in artistic entertainment by designing fun, immersive exhibitions, in virtual reality.

When you go to the UMA’s site, several free exhibitions are offered to the visitor: from street art to the Renaissance, including a thematic exhibition on cats or founding myths, there is an embarrassment of choice!

We then navigate through the virtual expositions, from room to room, with the possibility of clicking on the works of art to learn more. Some expositions even offer guided tours. These are fun ways to enrich the visit.

Thanks to UMA, it is then possible to broaden the audience and increase visibility, especially for less exhibited works, which museums keep in reserves inaccessible to the public.

In a second step, an online store will offer a selection of cultural products and a bookstore. It is moreover on this market activity that the site intends to support its economic model.

The French museum UMA very quickly set up its own virtual tour system which is making it successful today.
